Most of us know that there are a plethora of ways to reuse paper towel rolls for crafting. This may shock you…
BUT have you ever thought of using one as a vase?
When trying to find a vase (last minute, of course) to display some pretty, seasonal faux flowers in… well, let’s just say that EVERYTHING somewhat decent was sold out. Desperate times called for creative thinking. You see, I have two large windows on the front of my home – One on each side of my front door. I like to fill the windows with something seasonal every holiday, or the windows just look BARE. From the outside AND the inside. What I did have, however, was some beautiful leftover wrapping paper and leftover, empty paper towel rolls! I simply put double sided tape on the roll and wrapped it. I then stuck my faux flowers in and Tada! A faux vase for my faux flowers. HA!
You can also use empty wrapping paper rolls (which I would recommend). They are actually better because they tend to be thicker and more sturdy. You will definitely need it to stand upright on it’s own.
The lighting is pretty awful, but here’s a picture of it in my window (both window setups are the same so I only took one picture).
What do you think? It did the job, and at ZERO extra cost!
